Mainz Children's Language Test 1, 2 and 3

The best-known and most widely used language comprehension test for children. This three-part language comprehension test is divided into difficulty levels to suit the child's age and vocabulary. Part 1 is suitable for children under 4 years old, Part 2 for 4- to 5-year-olds, and Part 3 for 6- to 8-year-olds. The test words are taken from the initial vocabulary of the toddler or hearing-impaired child. They are rich in vowels and easy to predict from the mouth.

Göttingen Children's Language Comprehension Test 1 and 2

Part 1 is designed for speech audiometry of kindergarten and retarded children (approximately 3-4 years old) with monosyllables. Part 2 is designed for speech audiometry of preschool children (approximately 5-6 years old) with monosyllables.

Special visual aids are available for parts 1 and 2. A combination of four images is provided for each test word. This makes the test largely independent of the child's language development.
