Three-silver test Freiburg words with special noise
Freiburg Number and Word Test for Hearing Testing with Speech according to DIN 45626. Channel 2 features a special noise generated from the test material itself. It has the same envelope as the test material and, subjectively, is somewhere between noise and murmur.
Content Channel 2: Döring noise. Word jumble as speech-masking noise, consisting of 32-fold time-delayed superposition of the monosyllabic words of the Freiburg Speech Test without pauses, digitally reverberated with a reverberation time of 1.2 seconds (+10 dB) and band-limited at 10 kHz and 100 Hz with 24 dB/octave.
Description: To bring the results of the Freiburg Speech Test closer to the patients' hearing reality, the Word Test in Noise was developed under the scientific direction of Dr. Ing. WH Döring. This test is based on test words from the Freiburg Speech Test repeated three times in conjunction with a special noise signal presented simultaneously via the second channel.
Mission: Measurement of speech discrimination in noise
